I wont financially be ready to pick one up till about then anyways, and even then it'll be just a frame, so for purely self-centered reasons, the delay doesen't bother me. Glad y'all are getting it right and I am psyched to finally be getting off my hardtail. Been a long time coming.

Even a minor clearance issue would mean big headaches for us. Better to get it right, and I'm psyched Ibis is doing just that. To me, it will be that much sweeter when it arrives.

I have to say I am really torn with this news. On one hand, I'm extremely disappointed with the delay, and frustrated that I will not have the Mojo assembled and dialed in for the season. Instead, I'll be switching bikes part way through. Not a biggie I guess, but not what I was led to expect. On the other hand, I'm very happy that Ibis is taking the time to get it right and provide me a frame that will not be a huge letdown after the first ride. I had this happen with my last "dream bike" 8 years ago... after the first ride I discovered an issue that required me to send the frame back for modifications to a pivot. The defect was well known to the builder and yet they allowed the frames to ship anyways. BAD idea and needless to say, I will not buy from that company again. So... given the latest news on the Mojo, I say Bravo! Get it right Ibis, make it perfect, and ship me a frame that deserves the Ibis name. Impatiently waiting... Mark

Travis is obviously frustrated in the delay in the Mojo delivery date and it has unfortunately come through as anger on this blog. Travis, hang in there. Your bike will be here "soon" and I'll bet that you will find it well worth your patience. I recently received my Ibis Silk Road Carbon and am happy to tell all blog readers that it is SWEET!* and was well worth the wait and even a few delivery delays. Hey, we are all watching the return of a company that has pushed into what is for them, uncharted carbon monococque territory. There are bound to be some obstacles that must be overcome. I appreciate Scot using this forum to keep everybody posted and up to date. Try to get the same kind of response from the big cheese at Trek or Specialized!

Be patient my friend.... remember, you can't rush good mojo.

Peace, Mark

The Mojo is perhaps the most difficult to manufacture bicycle frame ever produced. We have over 1700 hours of CAD time in the design. Once you get a chance to examine one closely, you’ll understand what a set of complicated puzzle pieces are involved. Instead of pushing the product to market (as is “industry standard”) and letting our customers be the guinea pigs we are trying to make sure that we have addressed all possible issues before releasing it. I would argue that we owe it our customers to make our best effort to insure that the Mojo will meet or exceed their expectations before we deliver it to them. Therefore we are unfortunately delayed in getting this bike delivered.
