Full-On Mojo Test in the New MBA!!!
Well folks, the moment we’ve been waiting for has finally arrived. Maybe you haven’t been waiting for it but we have.
Richard Cunningham’s test of the Mojo has hit the newsstands. Or it will very soon. In the July issue of Mountain Bike Action, there it is in all its glory, on the cover:

And the test begins on pages 86

The report is glowing. Rather than try to reproduce it here, we’ll give you a sneak preview and let you go pick up the magazine (if you already subscribe, it should be in your mailbox soon). Or you can get it with an online subscription from Zinio, that’s how we get ours. Zinio is also good for the international readers who don’t want to wait for the slow boat from the printers.
ONE BIG PROBLEM…
Richard got the price wrong! He over shot it by $1100.

In the article he lists the price for the SL model as $5500 when it is really $4399.
And we should also mention that we have the SX for $3299.
Maybe Richard is clairvoyant or something because he did get pretty close to what the price will be in 07 with the brand new XTR stuff. We figure the bike will weigh in at about 24 pounds complete with the newest XTR, you can also read about 07 XTR in July 06 MBA. The current Mojo weighs 25.5lbs with pedals.
So there you have it, a stellar review, an a price that’s considerably less than what is stated in the article.
We know that a lot of you have been waiting to see an unbiased report of how the bike works. It’s finally arrived.
Once again, we’re pretty back-ordered on the bikes. To find a dealer near you (or far from you if you prefer) go to http://ibiscycles.com/how_to_buy/
More tests coming soon.
Cheers,
Pimpy aka Chuck

Amazing…can’t wait to read it. Congrats on the first independent review….Chuck, you allude to the 2007 Mojo. I suspect there aren’t going to be ‘major changes’? I’m a guy who gets buyer’s remorse real easy. New colors and a new parts mix I can deal with. I just don’t want MojoCarbon1.1 to render my 2006 obsolete before I even ride it!

Mark,
No Changes for the 07 Mojo. You won’t be outdated anytime soon.
I’ll post a pdf of the article right away.

Great, thanks Scot….Is that the parts spec we should expect for the SL? I noticed the FSA Carbon cranks, Kendas, 07 Float?

[...] After an excruciatingly long wait, we finally were able to show you, our beloved readers, an unbiased review of what a badass bike we’ve got here with the good ‘ol Ibis Mojo Carbon. Richard Cunningham gave us the massive props in his July MBA review. We’re quite happy about that. Now our buddies at Mountain Bike, and in particluar Ron Koch, have reviewed the Mojo Carbon as well. Thanx for coming back to kick some cookie cutter bike makers butts! Being a very proud owner of a 1998 bow-ti and a 1999 ti-mojo, I was in mourning,(not to bad, I own the two best bikes ever made in the 20th century) but I was pretty sad! I also have on order a new silk-roadfrom Derek at Calgary Cycle. I hope to be the only Canadian with three Ibis in my stable.I will never ride another brand because they all ride like slugs! My Mojo has podiumed with me during the BOW 80, THE TOUGHEST RACE(1 dAY)ever over three of our rockie mountains on nuthin but singletrack down triple black diamond insane trails (Cox hill, 7200ft 8miles of down!) My Bow-ti has 15000 miles on it doing those trails and it still rides like a magic carpet! It is the only reason I havent ordered a mojocarbon. I’m just glad that the rest of the world can find out all about Ibisian bliss now! Good luck and great riding. Thanx again! Gordie Ibis
