MOJO DELIVERY UPDATE

Howdy All,

Today I have for you the latest delivery information for the much-anticipated Ibis Mojo Carbon. Tom just got back from the factory and has some good info to share. He just sent out a letter to all our dealers who have bikes on order, so if you have one on order but haven’t heard from the dealer yet, here’s the info straight from the source:

“Well the time has finally come for us to make the first shipment of Mojo Carbon bikes -Yea!

While this comes as a welcome event for everyone in the Ibis family, the first litter is unfortunately a bit smaller than originally anticipated. We had thought we would be able to supply all of our dealers with at least one frame from this first production. It turns out this is not the case. As a result, we will follow a first-in, first-out policy in determining who will receive frames from this first run. Most of you placed orders with us at Interbike or immediately after, so there are going to be some really close calls. If you do not get a frame from this first production you will get one from the second production run (happening in July and delivered in early August).

The first production run is due to be air freighted to us on July 10th. Typically, transit time for air freight is 2 or 3 days. Once it lands here it will have to clear customs, which can take anywhere from 1 day to a week – it’s up to the discretion of the US Customs Office. We have to assemble the frames, but this shouldn’t take very long. Anyway, the point is that somewhere between the 15th and the 20th of July we should start shipping frames out to individual dealers.

We will only have medium and large frames available from this first shipment. When we call you will have your choice of either size as available.

Also, our current inventory of Silk Carbon road frames is sold out. We are due to receive more 53 & 55 cm frames around the 3rd week of July, other sizes are due the 2nd week of August. We already have backorders against most of these frames.

As always, thanks from all of us for making the leap and joining Ibis before the hype. Your support and patience are much appreciated.”

So that’s the word from Tom. Unfortunately we don’t yet know who is going to get what as far as bikes go. We wish we had more to go around, and we’ve been working hard to increase producion. Supply should free up a little bit in September.

Again we apologize for the delay.

Scot
