SHOOT ME NOW
RIDE A BIKE, RUIN THE ENVIRONMENT
This Just In…
Karl T. Ulrich (I think this guy is no relation to those other Ulrichs Jan or Lars) of The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania just released a paper telling us that due to the fact that bike riding adds 10.6 days of lifespan to the average cyclist and during those 10.6 extra days of life we actually use energy, that in the end we’re actually doing more harm to the environment than if we just sat around and smoked Marlboros all day.
Here’s the link:

He even has stats and graphs and charts and scientific lingo.
So, all you bicycle riders our there are environmental losers.
Along those lines…
I’ve actually heard a well-reasoned argument that the obesity epidemic is actually going to help keep health care costs down due to the fact that the “weight challenged” among us generally die much sooner.
