HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Sunday, December 31st, 2006

Hey Everybody, Happy New Year to you all!!

While in Mexico one New Year’s Eve not too long ago, we saw this little display of some rather interesting child behavior surrounding a fireworks display, it was pretty funny. To see it, click right about here>

In the mean time, here’s to the new year! Pix by me.

ANOTHER WINNER

Thursday, December 21st, 2006

Here’s a nice little Christmas present to us from the good folks over there at MBUK (as in Mountain Bike United Kingdom).

They’ve just completed a test of four of “2007’s Most Wanted Trail-riding Full Sussers” (as in trail riding full suspension bikes).

Competition for the MOJO was stiff: An Intense EVP 5.5, a Turner Five Spot, and a Rocky Mountain Element 70. At the end of the day the Mojo was rated highest and declared THE WINNER (as in Numero Uno).

Here’s a slightly doctored version of the verdict:

You can read a copy of the article online here> (patience grasshopper, it’s a 2.3 meg file and it’ll take a little while to load).

In the end they call it “THE NEW BENCHMARK TRAIL BIKE”.

We couldn’t agree more or be happier. Thanks SANTA!

FOLLOWING IN THEIR UNCLE’S FOOTSTEPS…

subBOURBON ON THE ROCKS

I have three nephews. Two of three have now managed to total a car (wait until the third one gets his license!). Both times it was one of their parents cars. I also managed to total a car of my parents in high school. I don’t have any pictures of the first nephew’s handiwork, but here’s this week’s carnage.

I guess I forgot to send him this sticker, so it’s my fault.

If I had, it might have prevented this from happening.

To those of you who are worrying, the Ibis sticker on the back of his mom’s car survived just fine.

Howdy Folk,

Well, if you didn’t see the USA Today coverage of the Mojo in person today, that’s too bad. It sure was a sight to behold. We sent out a little note to our mail list about the article and a few other items and have received quite a number of calls to the megafacilty.

We mentioned that we wanted to get the e-commerce site up and running before the holidays, but ran into a couple of snafus that prevented us from going ‘live’ (part of it being too many Mojos to ship–a good problem to have!).

Anyway, if you’re in need of Ibis goodies for you or a loved one (or even a liked one), give us a shout on our toll free number (we can’t really say 800 number with this one) and we’ll hook you up.

People want to see pictures of our sweet little Ibis Merkin Merino wool socks. So here we go, first in Blue

bluesox_L.jpg

And then in lovely orange

orangesox_L.jpg

Note that these are convertible: when you roll those suckers down a bit, they reveal the Ibis script lettering in a 1/4 length sock, whereas fully extended they show the head badge logo.

Did I mention they’re made of soft Merino fur wool? Nicely padded, with a bit of Nylon in there to help them hold their shape and stay freshie fresh for a long time.

And they’re CHEAP: $12.00 / pair

Such a deal in this day and age!!

We’ve also got ‘em T-Shirts. Nice ones too. By American Apparrel also a DEAL. $15 BUCKS

So pick up the phone and give a shout. We’ll hook you up. If you have a credit card.

Once again: 1-866-424-7635

Cheers,

Scot

More love from the media bestowed on little old Ibis…

This time it’s USA Today, talking about the Ibis Mojo in their gift guide. It’s online now at http://www.usatoday.com/sports/2006-12-11-outdoor-gift-guide_x.htm and will be in the print edition tomorrow (Tuesday Dec 12th). Or so they say. So if you’re one of the lucky few who has a Mojo, grab a copy for your scrapbook. If you’re on of the unlucky many who don’t have a Mojo yet, buy this copy, highlight the Mojo and leave it in a conspicuous place where your generous gift-giving mate will see it and perhaps get the hint.

Good luck!
