		<description>Nice post and cartoon - and sickening at the same time.  Pretty insane how little has changed in 30 years.  I do see things headed for the better however - there&#039;s way more focus on global warming, being &quot;green&quot; and $4.00 a gallon for gas.  Things won&#039;t really change until it hits people in the wallet hard.  $4.00 a gallon is getting close to that mark.

The bike industry needs to focus more on riding for transportation - and less on new widgets.  Don&#039;t worry - the core psychos will always be there to buy the new trick Ibis or whatever.  Me included.

I&#039;ll keep commuting on my old Hakkalugi and new Silk Carbon and trying to spread the word.  Keep making cool bikes.</description>
