Pretty insane how little has changed in 30 years. I do see things headed for the better however - there's way more focus on global warming, being "green" and $4.00 a gallon for gas. Things won't really change until it hits people in the wallet hard. $4.00 a gallon is getting close to that mark. The bike industry needs to focus more on riding for transportation - and less on new widgets. Don't worry - the core psychos will always be there to buy the new trick Ibis or whatever. Me included. I'll keep commuting on my old Hakkalugi and new Silk Carbon and trying to spread the word. Keep making cool bikes. Nice post and cartoon – and sickening at the same time.
