Ibis Helmets Press Release

Thursday, June 5th, 2008

Giro, you better hope somebody out there has got your back, because little old Ibis is getting into the helmet business and you better run for cover.

That’s right, fresh on the heels of successes with the Mojo and Silk bikes, the Ibis product line is expanding. Our team of (on) crack designers has just revealed the first product in our new foray into the brain bucket business.

No word yet on pricing or when the first helmets will start replacing Giro helmets on your dealer’s shelves. Giro, we’ll try to give you an update so you can blow out your soon-to-be-obsolete inventory.

Thief Down Under

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

A Mojo owner who is traveling in New Zealand just got his bike stolen. I told him I’d post the info on here, on the off chance that the one reader in the Southern Hemisphere happens to see both this post and the stolen bike. Hey, stranger things have happened. Once I was in New Zealand, got to talking to a couple of guys, said I was going to school at UC Davis and they asked me if I knew who So and So was and it turns out he was my roommate at the time. That was plenty weird, so here goes.

Stolen Mojo

Mojo Size Large (Carbon Finish) Has a ‘STIF’ Sticker near headtube on drive side of bike, silver/chrome finish.(Stif is our distributor in the UK)

Fork: Fox Float (Has small circular Etnies sticker covering scratch on left fork leg, Burgundy and white colour)

Stem: Thompson Elite (Black)

Bars: Easton Monkey Lite CNT Carbon 31.8 Low

Shifters: SRAM X.0 Thumbshifters

Brakes: Avid Juicy 7

Front Hub: Chris King Iso Disc QR (Black)

Rear Hub: Chris King Iso Disc QR (Black)

Rims: Mavic XC717 (Black)

Skewers: Salsa Flipoff Stainless (Silver)

Rear Mech: SRAM X.0 Medium Cage Carbon

And the Frame Serial Number is 06M0285

Due to some chain suck the chain has put a nasty gouge down by the Bottom Bracket other than that it’s the carbon finish.

And here’s what it looked like before the thief got a hold of it.

If you happen to see it or think you’ve seen it, give me a shout. You can address it to chuck at the domain name above.

A Tiny Bit of News

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

Fashion Icon Yves St. Laurent died yesterday. Or Saturday. Let’s just say recently.

For all of you Fashionistas out there, the news is not all bad. We have something to cheer you up. If your Mojo has been adorned with those freshie fresh red anodized links but you’ve had to endure the fashion faux pas of having a non-matching QR, your wait is over. Salvation is here.

The report from HQ today is that we finally have the red QR Binders in stock and ready for shipment. Blue will arrive soon.

Mojo derailleur hangers are back in stock too.

Ciao
