Sure, yuck it up...but, as a PDX local, can say to 'yall that it's just another city, full of cars, and some nut-job cyclists. Sure, we gots a battalion of fixed gear types, in skinny jeans, ripped t-shirts, and cotton cycling caps. Can't swing a cat by the tail without hitting one...and many of us 'normal' cycling-types would like to try doing just that, in fact. Ride on the wrong side of the road? Sure, why not.... Stop at the light? Huh, what light...you talking to me? Turn left, no signal, from the right lane...works for me. Yeah, the PDX scene is a glorious place.
Luckily, the FG types smoke and drink too much, and can't climb the surrounding hills, as a result, on their blinged-out steeds. So, two-wheeled escape from the huns is no-sweat. At least outside of PDX downtown, all us cyclists need to be wary of is autos--and at least they tend to stay on the correct side of the road.

As they say..."your mileage may vary"
