WE’RE GIVING AWAY A BIKE
We can file this one under ‘doing the right thing’.
We’ve teamed up with some of our friends and family in the South Bay Area (South of San Francisco we mean) and have donated a Tranny Bicycle (your choice of size and color) to benefit the good people at OrphanBaby. They are a non-profit group dedicated to improving the lives of orphans. The website for the benefit is www.rideforplay.com and you can also see the flyer before.
The benefit, though very serious, should prove to be a lot of fun. The main event will be a poker run on mountain bikes followed by a BBQ on July 17th in Los Gatos CA. Even if you’re not at the event, you can purchase a raffle ticket to be eligible for some of the prizes, including the grand prize which is an Ibis Tranny. There are a lot of other prizes too. This will be a killer event for a noble cause! Thanks to Ibis and all the sponsors for chipping in. Also, thanks to Gregory Klein who designed the flyer on very short notice. Gregory is better known as the designer of Bike Snob NYC’s new book.

This is going to be a good time for a great cause! I heard there will be some drummers out there, so I’m bringing by guitar to jam a few tunes! BTW, we have tickets at the shop if you’re not into on-line tickets. I will be bringing a Tranny to show off what it is Ibis has in store for the lucky winner of the grand prize! We have it at the shop on display:-)
